So I had this drama teacher in high school, and everyone though that this teacher was just THE COOLEST. She was MRS. GREGORY, you know? Like she was important enough, and awesome enough, that her name was said in this awed reverence that needed all caps to fully explain.

The thing is though... I didn't really like her. I mean, sure, she wasn't a bad teacher. She wasn't mean or dull or anything like that. I just got the sense that she acted, all the time. Like someone had said to her "Okay, Mrs. Gregory, you're going to be a DRAMA TEACHER for the next 15 years. ACTION!" And from there on she did everything that she thought a DRAMA TEACHER would do. She dressed oddly--nicely, but strangely, she had weird outbursts of energy. Her hair was all short and spunky, she rarely sat still for long periods of time, and she just LOVED "deep inner meanings". I never could shake the feeling that she wasn't really as into it as she professed to be.

Even now though, people will find out that you were in GREGORY'S DRAMA CLASS and they'll practically swoon at the very thought that the two of you were both taught by GREGORY. They'll find themselves needing to go over every little drama game, every play, every piece of advice that GREGORY ever passed on to them.

It's just annoying.

lol I don't really know what the point of this entry is, but I can't really explain to my friends who knew "Gregory" how I feel/felt, because they all WORSHIP her. So I figure ranting here is just as good.
